In Theatres (Review)-Good Night and,Good Luck

Can a film be just 93 mins short, no special fx, not a 3 hour epic with "Extended Editions",no crazy typical hollywood big budgets ,no sex or violence, shot in balck & white ,have a scrony old man in the lead and still be as visually beautifully, tense, exciting and thoroughly entertaining, informative and satisfying movie watching experience through tight story telling?

If u have seen George Clooney's Good Night And Good Luck, you would know that the answer to all that is a YES!

Some Of My Rough Animation For "In The Air" Music Video

NotJust PEOPLE...

Just a random pic i took from my balcony at home back in Bombay, INDIA. Not entirely sure what is the significance of this practice, but sometimes these local people walk around a neighbourhood playing music with an Ornamented Cow...in the hopes that maybe some generous soul will throw them a coin or two!

CARS!!!

AUTOSHOW 2006

Ok, yesterday i spent the whole day at the Annual Autoshow in Toronto, and it was awwwwwwwesome!! and the funny part is...i dont even care about cars!!! lol

But my biggest regret was not taking a camera, and had to do with a stupid Cell cam and the pics surely dont do justice to the way i was trying to capture the subjects. A lost oppurtunity :-(
So am sorry, i dont have pics worth sharing...maybe just these couple of the Jaguar!?

P.S Any resemblance to the background of Pixar's CARS' logo, is purely co-incidental & unintentional.No,REALLY!;-)

"In The Air" Music Video Screen Captures

Here is some stuff from a Music Video directed by Simi Nallaseth (Ice Age, Bluesky Animator) for an Indian film called "White Noise" .
I worked on in the capacity of Animation Director/Lead Animator. It was great chance to learn and do things which i had never done before like One Scene in which i had to animate to the live action plates underneath (kinda like Rotoscoping but not really) and 2D MORPHING!....

Check this out if u wanna know more about the video and the art

"A Dirty Shade Of White"

This is a 2 min live action short that i did as a group project with 5 fellow student friends (Tom,Matt, Normand, Nathan & Maggie) at Sheridan College.
It was a cool assignment to get us to understand the concepts and tools of filmmaking!

We had loads of fun working on it and we also Won and were Nominated for Best Film and Best Art Direction at the "Conflict Film Awards":-)

I myslef, worked on the Story/Screenplay, Audio/Video Editing and the Lighting.
It was my first go at Editing ever, and it was quite challenging at that time cause we had around 7-8 mins of great (and some not so great) footage...and the film HAD to be 2mins!

But what i enjoyed the most was coming up with the concept and executing the End Credits!

What can we expect to find in this Sea Of Waking Dreams??

Hey!

Wow..this is quite addictive and exciting! Could not wait to get start posting stuff this morning...maybe just cause its just the whole "NEW" thing!lol

Am currently back in school, doing Computer Animation at Sheridan College,Canada...doing fun new assignments and developing my 2nd Animated Short...
Havea bit of work from school, out of school and from the industry .
Am also putting finshing touches on my first Animated Short "Moments"(9min)...

So i think in terms of posting...i will jump around and post some rescent and some older and surely brand new stuff as and when i do it and also chrnicle the "Making Of..."of my new short!

Along with just sharing some intersting( and not so interesting) aspects of my day to day interaction with this world and its people through pics, anecdotes and ofcourse Film/Music/DVD discussions!!
So be sure to check back often...and may i suggest YOU to get a blog too...should be a fine way to keep in touch with old frnds , get to know new people and to share in a casual, fun ,creative enviorment!

Cheers!

Welcome!

Hello one and all...
So finally i have a "Blog"...
Been procastinating about it for ages...so today on my birthday, made a firm resolve to get started on it.
I must warn and excuse myself at the very start for the many typos that are to follow...however i do promise to make a sincere effort to keep them to a minimum...but please do bare with me!

So..now that i have a blog,what do i put on it?
Am torn between either having a personal blog with pics, my 2 cents here and there or a work related blog where post my art/work etc etc ...
So,for now i will just keep it fairly casual i guess..throw in a bit of everything every now and then randomly...lets see how this works!

So...feel free to say whatever u wanna say...would love that!

Cheers!

:-)
